Cultural Centre in Ptuj on the Drava
Almost 6 million people live in Singapore on 730 km2 – an area as large as Hamburg. According to Richard Hassell, the co-founder of Woha architects, the city-state will be a climate-positive megacity by 2100.
An exterior reinforced concrete frame structures the building. In the course of converting the facility for office use, every third facade field received glazing.
A white rhomboid grid envelops each of the five buildings, establishing a homogeneous building ensemble. The volumes are offset at an angle and allow views of the interior courtyard.
Erected on tall wooden bases, La Loica and La Tagua stand on the 80-m-high Pacific coast in Matanzas. Their weathered envelope is made from reused railway sleepers.
