The Samuel Beckett Centre for Performing Arts is situated in the north-east corner of a new square called the Narrows in the grounds of Trinity College. It can be reached via the front gate on College Green or from College Park in Lincoln Place. As the university theatre, it is used primarily by the faculty for drama studies for stage and acting courses. The clearly structured complex consists of three main sections: the faculty offices and classrooms in the refurbished buildings in Pearse Street; the Beckett Theatre itself in the centre; and the tower-like structure with seminar rooms and a foyer on the ground floor, a studio "Players Theatre" on the upper floor and a dance studio in the attic storey.
